The current schedule includes such big names as Stephen Stills and Judy Collins, The Russian Grand Ballet, Rusted Root, and many more!

With our country roads, covered bridges, and quaint towns, one could be excused for thinking a game of checkers might be the height of entertainment for the area – but you’d be wrong.

In fact, one of the best things about our quiet, little corner of Vermont is that we don’t have to go very far to experience world class entertainment. Thanks to wonderful establishments like the Northern Stage, The Weston Playhouse, and Lebanon Opera House, there are always live performances to inspire, educate, and entertain.

Quechee Gorge Fall FoliageAutumn is just around the corner and with it comes leaf-peeping season. Vermont is known for its gorgeous fall foliage. That’s no truer anywhere in the state than at Quechee Gorge State Park.

Is there anything more gorgeous than autumn In Vermont? Stunning reds, golds, browns, oranges, and every other iteration of tone in between interspersed with green. Add quiet country roads, quaint covered bridges, and good, earnest people and you’ve got a fall foliage lover’s paradise.

There are an endless number of Vermont drives, hikes, and bike trails a person could explore during this (or virtually any) time of year but one of the first that comes to mind is Quechee Gorge.

2017 Plymouth Folk and Blues Festival 2017The lively, two-day, 2017 Plymouth Folk and Blues Festival returns to Plymouth and the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site this Labor Day Weekend – September 2nd and 3rd, 2017.

The Plymouth Folk and Blues Festival is one of the top ten fall events here in the Woodstock area. The festival, which celebrates its 13th year in 2017, has become a local Labor Day Weekend tradition.

Plymouth’s annual folk and blues festival always attracts some of the best regional and even national talent. This year’s festival line-up includes Hungrytown, Dupont Brothers, Bow Thayer, Eric French, Alastair Moock, Danielle Miraglia, and Jay Ottaway. People come from all around every year to enjoy live roots music in the pure country air of historic Plymouth Notch. You should, too!

Getting out on a covered bridges driving tour in Vermont is a wonderful way to spend the day and, in many parts of the state, incredibly easy, too.

Woodstock, VT is not only surrounded by covered bridges, we even have a couple right here in town! As a result, we’ve created a list of covered bridges within an hour of our Vermont B&B. A list that includes the longest two-span covered bridge in the world: the Windsor-Cornish Bridge!

Quaint shops, great restaurants, and attractions like Billings Farm and the Simon Pearce glassworks make Woodstock a quintessential New England town. The lovely scenery alone makes us the ideal getaway for those looking for a respite from the hustle and bustle of the modern world.

Perhaps best of all, at least for the craft beer enthusiast, there are a number of great beer stores and breweries near Woodstock. Enough for a weekend’s diversion as you follow along on your own Vermont Craft Beer Trail!
