Fans of antiques and collectibles know how exciting it is to hunt for rare finds in a new area and Vermont has plenty to offer the antique seeker. The Vermont Antique Trail bears this out, with a list of shops up and down the state.

One of the stops on the trail, The Vermont Antique Mall, is just down the road from us at Quechee Gorge Village.

The Vermont Antique Mall

The Vermont Antique Mall offers some 17,000 square feet of antiques, jewelry, and other curiosities.

With over 450 booths of vintage collectibles to peruse, you could be excused for feeling overwhelmed – but worry not! The mall is staffed with knowledgeable, friendly folks who are happy to help locate the treasures you seek.

Rated “Best of New England’s Antique Shop” by Yankee Magazine, The Vermont Antique Mall is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Open daily, 10am to 5pm. Learn more at vermontantiquemall.com

Quechee Gorge Village is home to a variety of fun shops, galleries, and eating establishments. The Vermont Toy Museum can also be found here and is another big hit with collectors.

The Vermont Toy Museum

Step back in time to the magic of childhood at the The Vermont Toy Museum.

There’s something magical about a beloved toy from your childhood when viewed anew through adult eyes. This can be especially transporting if it’s a toy you have completely forgotten about; it’s like finding an old friend!

The Vermont Toy Museum displays more than 100,000 vintage and antique toys from the 1900’s to the 2000’s. Trains, dolls, miniatures, playsets, board games, and more. The decades will melt away as you peruse the diecast cars, tin robots, lunch boxes, cap guns, and more. You’re practically guaranteed to find yourself blurting out: “I had that!”

The museum is located on the second floor of Quechee Gorge Village, and open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm. Visit the Toy Museum website for more information.
