There is nothing like the fresh air of spring and the color palette of early spring flowers. Time to think about getting a break from your routine. Come on up to Vermont and relax!DSCF0136

Jingle Bells

November 29, 2014 by Deer Brook Inn

Almost a foot of new snow on the ground!  Everyone is walking in a winter wonderland.  The fire is crackling in the evening waiting for your return from skiing, skating, snow shoeing, horsedrawn sleigh rides, maybe even a dogsled ride by moonlight.  You know what they say about moonlight in Vermont.  The weekends are beginning to fill up.  We still have one room left for Wassail Weekend on December 12 and 13.  What better way to kick off the holiday season.  If those pesky relatives are coming for the holidays bring them along and spend  Christmas with us and then go home to a clean house when the holiday is over!  Santa knows his DSCF0249DSCF0199DSCF0240way to Deer Brook Inn!  What are you waiting for?  Give us a call. Happy Holidays

DSCF0136Well, at least in Vermont it is!  Summer creeps up quietly in Vermont, sometimes without much of a spring.  But all of a sudden you know it has arrived.  The sun’s warmth builds up during the day and then the night arrives and the temperature drops and  you realize…..Come see for yourself.  June is full of activities and events for you and the family.  From Farmers’ Markets, gallery walks, brown bag lunches on the Green with live music, Interplay Jazz Camp to the usual hiking, biking, kayaking, and canoeing  it sure makes summer living easy…and fun.  Reserve your room now, you won’t regret it.

The fire is raging.  We still have openings for Wassail Weekend and Christmas week.  Wassail Weekend kicks off on Friday, December 13.  Don’t miss the Victorian sleigh parade Saturday and the historic house tour where all are decorated for the holidays.  A horse drawn sleigh picks you up at the door of first house and takes you from one house to the next.  Christmas carols on the Green and a bonfire to keep you cozy in the afternoon.

Or just take a break after the holiday is over.  Join us for the January and February doldrums.  Take a load off your mind and relax by our fireplace.  We are waiting for your call!  You won’t be disappointed!

Autumn’s Golden Days

October 12, 2013 by Deer Brook Inn

With foliage season about to pass into late Autumn, there is still time to come to Vermont.  While there is still color in the trees late October is more relaxed,  more slow paced. Come on up and sight see all day and then come back and sit in front of the fire.   Doesn’t get much better than this.

Hard to believe the Christmas season is fast approaching.  Wassail Weekend (December 13-15) is a great way to get into the spirit and kick off the holiday.  Victorian sleighs, Christmas caroling on the Green, music venues all around town, historic holiday house tours in the village, we have it all.  Treat yourself to a pre holiday getaway.
